Finally a fix for Outlook 2007!!! There is a quick and easy fix for the ridiculously slow and sometimes locked up synchronization process. First you must open your outlook contact folder:
In the "display as" box you will see that the name has the email link in parentheses, you must remove that link so it looks like this:
After deleting the part in parentheses, save and close that contact. You must do this with every one of your contacts to fix this issue. Also, when you type in a name and the "auto-fill" feature kicks in, be sure that the saved data in your .nk2 file is correct otherwise it will simply put in the old name with the email address in parentheses again effectively stopping the send receive process. You may have to use the drop down menu of your contact list for a while to eradicate the old ones, or just open and edit your nk2 file which is found in your application data Microsoft office outlook folder. That's all there is to it! Beware that you may have to go back and check them again! DO NOT use the up down arrow to fix each one or it won't work, you must use the save and close button to make it hold the change. Blessings, Bill |
